Mr. Lee is a Partner in Ares Asia, where he focuses on credit. Prior to joining Ares in 2024, Mr. Lee was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where he was the head of the firm's Asia credit business. Previously, Mr. Lee was a Director at Clearwater Capital Partners, where he founded and headed the firm's private credit and special situations business in China and served as a member of its Investment Committee. In addition, Mr. Lee was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, where he advised institutional clients on corporate finance and strategic transactions. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank. Mr. Lee holds an LL.B., with honors, from the National University of Singapore and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
