Mr. Kachalia is a Partner in Ares Asia, where he focuses on private equity. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Mr. Kachalia was a Partner at Crescent Point, where he focused on strategy. Previously, Mr. Kachalia was the Founder of Canopy Group, an investment firm, a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of private investments at Morgan Creek Capital Management, and the Co-Founder of Hifusion, an education technology company. In addition, he was an Associate at Winslow Partners, a start-up investment firm, where he focused on global direct buyouts. Mr. Kachalia began his career as an Analyst in the Health Care Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley in New York. Mr. Kachalia is currently a Senior Advisor and Investment Committee Member for New Republic Partners. Mr. Kachalia holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
